If AI knows everything, why am I still studying?

I’m studying for another AI business leader certification.

In 2026 that sounds slightly ridiculous.

My answer: it’s not what you know. It’s what you can do with it, and who you can help.

The trick is applying the learning — in discussions, decisions and builds. Then it sticks.

So my study loop now looks more like:

Syllabus → research seed → explain it simply → get AI to challenge me → change the scenario → note what I got wrong → revisit the weak bits.

If the course gives me an AI use case, I want to know what they were really trying to fix, what went wrong, what still needed a human and whether the example is already out of date.

Then I get AI to play CIO, CFO, security or ops and push back.

Then I change the case normally from a mix of my old project notes and new trends.

Same idea, different world: healthcare, warehousing, bad master data, old ERP.

I still make flashcards, infographics and interactive explainers.

Useful, but mostly better packaging.

The good bit is getting AI to track over time where my understanding is weak, fix the gaps, then apply the learning to projects, builds and mentoring.

I still have to study. The broccoli still has to be eaten. But now it gets some special sauce.
